Langcom English Placement Test for Adults

Welcome to the Langcom English Placement Test for Teens and Adults. This test will assess your current English level across key language skills and assign you an official CEFR level from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Proficiency).

Your results will be used to place you in the most appropriate English course for your academic and professional development.

WHAT THIS TEST COVERS

🎧 Listening — Audio comprehension across a range of contexts
📖 Reading — Understanding written texts and language in use
📝 Use of English — Grammar, vocabulary, and language accuracy

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
⏱ Allow approximately 30-40 minutes to complete the full test
🔇 Find a quiet location so you can clearly hear the audio sections
🎧 Use a computer or laptop with working speakers or headphones
🚫 Do not use dictionaries, translators, or external tools at any point
✅ Complete all sections in one sitting without interruption

HOW IT WORKS
The test progresses automatically from one section to the next. Each section must be completed before you can advance. Your answers will be evaluated instantly based on official CEFR and Cambridge English assessment criteria.

• A score and CEFR level for each section
• An overall CEFR placement level
• A recommended Langcom course level
